Hello! I’m Bianca—counsellor, partner, sister, auntie, and deep listener/feeler.
Born in South Africa, I immigrated to Canada with my family as a child. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over a decade working in fashion marketing as a stylist. This creative background deepened my appreciation for story, identity, and the ways we express who we are.
My path into counselling began with my own journey through grief, which became a touchstone for exploring the intersections of creativity, meaning-making, and healing.
I’m no stranger to the complexities that arise while moving through life—I’m drawn to understanding the tender ways in which we hold our stories, guard our pain, and search for meaning and connection. I value warmth, sincerity and relational depth in my personal relationships as much as I do in my work as a counsellor. I bring a candid and warm-hearted presence into the room with each of my patients.
In 2019, I joined the Vancouver Grief Society as a facilitator, where I continue to offer group support for individuals navigating a diverse range of losses.

Is my approach right for you?
Not all humans fit well together, and that’s okay. The important thing is to find a therapist who fits your needs at this point in your life. Would we be a good fit? I hope so! Here are some considerations to help you decide:
Probably if:You are interested in an experiential and relational process
You are looking for an attuned listener to truly hear you
You’re curious about inner child or depth-oriented work
You value a collaborative and supportive counselling relationship
You want to understand or shift longstanding patterns
Probably not if:You are looking for a primarily cognitive therapeutic modality (i.e. CBT)
You prefer a highly directive or worksheet-based style of therapy
You are seeking couples or family counselling
You are seeking formal assessments
Still not sure?Book a free consultation to help you decide.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to help you get a sense of whether we might be a good fit to work together. The relationship between counsellor and client is one of the strongest factors in meaningful therapeutic change, so finding the right match matters.
-
Your first session is an opportunity to begin understanding your story in more depth. While it’s still a collaborative and conversational process, it’s a bit more structured than a consultation. I’ll ask questions to get a fuller picture of your life — including your current concerns, past experiences, and the context surrounding what brings you in. This helps me understand how different parts of your life connect and where our work might be most supportive.
-
The frequency of counselling depends upon your own unique needs and goals. Together we will develop a plan that works best for you. Frequency and duration of counselling is typically discussed in the first or second session, but don’t be afraid to ask your therapist or adjust the frequency at any point based on current life circumstances.
-
Counselling is not covered under BC’s Medical Services Plan (MSP). However, many extended health plans include coverage for sessions with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). Check with your insurance provider to confirm:
Does my plan cover counselling with an RCC?
What amount is covered per session or per year?
An official receipt will be provided after each session for you to submit for reimbursement. Please note that direct billing is not available.
-
As an RCC, counselling services are only available to residents of British Columbia. You are welcome to access counselling services if you are outside Canada on a temporary basis, so longs as you maintain an address in BC.
-
Fees are based on the length of session and are as follows:
50 min - $155
70 min - $215
Payment is due via e-transfer at the beginning of service.
-
We require 48 hours notice for cancellation/rescheduling of appointments, otherwise, the full session fee will be charged. This applies to missed sessions also. Please note that this policy is based on fairness to you, your counsellor, and other clients needing appointments. We appreciate your understanding.
